KANEKA NAG HYALUROGLUCOTM : A NATURAL, HIGHLY BIOAVAILABLE N-ACETYL-GLUCOSAMINE WITH CLINICALLY PROVEN EFFICACY
N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG) is a monosaccharide naturally present in the body. NAG is a component of hyaluronic acid and also stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans. It plays a role in the synthesis of connective tissue (including cartilage), particularly in the joints.
NAG is obtained via an enzymatic hydrolysis process, resulting in a low-molecular-weight active ingredient that is easily absorbed by the body. Kaneka NAG HyaluroglucoTM is directly converted into proteoglycans in the body and is 3 times better absorbed than glucosamine.
A clinical study has also demonstrated the efficacy of Kaneka NAG HyaluroglucoTM from as little as 500 mg1.
This study was carried out on 31 people over 65 diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee. Taking 500 mg of NAG showed a reduction in symptoms as early as 4 weeks.
