Description
Cherry stalks, also known as fruiting stalks, are listed in the French Pharmacopoeia and are one of the most popular remedies. In phytotherapy, cherry stems from Morello cherries, Cerasus vulgaris or Prunus cerasus, are used in particular.
Cherry stems contain several active ingredients, including potassium salts, tannins and flavonoids belonging to the polyphenol family.
While the potassium salts help to eliminate toxins from the body thanks to their diuretic and purifying action, the polyphenols and flavonoids have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Cherry stalks therefore help to combat damage caused by free radicals and inflammation of the urinary tract. They are therefore useful in cases of urinary disorders and cystitis.
Thanks to their many molecules, cherry stems help to drain and detoxify the body.
Benefits
Cherry stalks are traditionally used to facilitate the body's elimination functions.
