Description
Think of the bacteria in the microbiota as superheroes. Sure, there are always super villains, but this one is nice.
Cypress has many properties. In the cardiovascular sphere, cypress is angioprotective and veinotonic. It is also astringent, anti-diarrheal and antiviral.
Streptococcus thermophilus SP4 is a Gram + bacteria that is part of the intestinal microbiota. It belongs to the phylum of the Firmicutes. It occurs as a chain and grows, as its name suggests, at an optimal warm temperature of between 37 and 60°C.
As a lactobacillus, Streptococcus thermophilus possesses the enzymes to break down lactose, which is its source of energy. This bacterium is also found in yoghurt and other fermented milk products.
The benefits
Streptococcus thermophilus, a bacteria of the intestinal microbiota, is beneficial for patients suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. It is capable of fermenting lactose , which causes acidification of the medium and induces the reduction of bacteria, including Bilophila wadsworthia (Proteobacterium), suspected of being involved in intestinal diseases.
Streptococcus thermophilus synthesises butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) which has a beneficial effect on the intestinal ecosystem.
This bacterium provides nutritional support for severe and/or chronic intestinal permeability and contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
Streptococcus thermophilus is individually microencapsulated and packaged in gastro-resistant capsules.
