What are neuromediators ?
Neuromediators are chemical substances produced naturally by our body that transmit messages between neurons.
The two best known neuromediators are dopamine and serotonin.
Serotonin is involved in the regulation of sleep, mood, anxiety and appetite control. It is made from an amino acid provided by the diet: tryptophan. When the production of this neurotransmitter is disrupted by various factors (stress, fatigue, or a poor diet...), it can lead to mood disturbances such as feelings of depression, anxiety, mood disorders...
