BOSWELLIN^® SUPER : an extract of Boswellia Serrata clinically proven effective against joint pain

Boswellia serrata resin is particularly indicated for joint comfort thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, known for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine.
Boswellin^® Super is a standardised extract obtained from the resin exudate gum of the Boswellia Serrata tree.

This extract contains 75 mg of boswellic acids, including 30 mg of AKBA*, active ingredients of interest in inflammation management.

Boswellic acids and AKBA* act on inflammation by:

• Inhibiting the action of the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase
• Inhibiting the activity of cycloxygenase-1
• Selective inhibition of the NF-κB activation mechanism
• Inhibition of leukotriene-mediated inflammatory pathways
• Suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines

Through this mode of action, Boswellin^® Super helps to limit the progression of inflammatory and auto-immune diseases such as arthritis.

A double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study of 48 people diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee was conducted for 120 days.

Symptoms associated with osteoarthritis were assessed using a participant questionnaire (WOMAC**).
Symptoms of arthritis diminished progressively from 30 days up to 120 days.

At the same time, improvement in symptoms was demonstrated by X-ray images.
After 120 days, an improvement in the inter-articular space was demonstrated, as well as a reduction in osteocytes.
