Description

Ginseng is a tonic plant that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years. In ancient China, it was reserved for the upper castes and popular beliefs attributed to it the power to preserve youth. Its many properties have earned it the name 'king of herbs', 'royal herb' or 'root of long life'.

The active molecules of ginseng, the ginsenosides, are divided into two categories: on the one hand, the so-called "classic" ginsenosides, which, although present in large quantities, have only a low bioactive power; and on the other hand, the so-called "rare" ginsenosides, which, on the other hand, are molecules with a much higher proven bioactivity despite their lower proportion.

In this respect, it should be noted that red ginseng is richer in rare ginsenosides than 'classic' white ginseng.

Ginseng ensures the body's resistance to various stresses and improves not only physical performance, but also cognitive functions such as memory and attention. This is why ginseng is particularly useful in cases of fatigue, overwork or mental exhaustion.

Moreover, the solid aphrodisiac reputation of ginseng is explained by its tonic properties, as well as by its vasodilator effects allowing to ensure the oxygenation of tissues.

The benefits

Ginseng is a so-called "adaptogen" plant, in that it increases the organism's resistance. Its root is known to help stimulate vitality and alertness, and to fight against fatigue. It also improves tone and physical performance, and supports cognitive functions, particularly memory.

Ginseng also helps to improve the quality of sleep thanks to its ability to regulate the excessive secretion of cortisol, known as the "stress hormone", which has an antagonistic effect on melatonin, known as the "sleep hormone".

THERASCIENCE special features

To enable you to benefit from all the benefits of ginseng, THERASCIENCE has selected red ginseng HRG80TM (Hydroponic Red Ginseng) powder with a 10% ginsenoside content, 80% of which are rare ginsenosides (RG3, RG5, RG6, RK1, RH2). This is the highest concentration of rare ginsenosides on the market. This makes our HRG80TM ginseng powder even more effective.

Its effects were demonstrated in a clinical study on 160 people, where 80 patients were supplemented with 400 mg of HRG80TM ginseng powder and the other half with 1560 mg of standard ginseng extract.

After 10 days of treatment, the patients who received HRG80TM ginseng showed better results in terms of dynamism, mood stability, learning ability and cognitive performance, as well as in terms of improved sleep and stress management.

The excellent efficacy of our ginseng is explained by its optimised molecular profile. Indeed, the level of rare ginsenosides per dose of HRG80TM is 16 times that of red ginseng and 100 times that of white ginseng. This impressive difference is made possible by a fully standardised process including :

  • A vertical hydroponic cultivation method ;
  • The reproduction of natural and optimal conditions for its cultivation: luminosity, temperature, humidity, nutrients, physico-chemical parameters of the culture substrate meticulously controlled ;
  • A sterile clinical environment to protect it from attacks by pests, bacteria and phytopathogenic fungi. These stress-generating attacks are known to impact the production of active molecules by the plant.

The HRG80TM red ginseng powder obtained is therefore 100% pure (absolute purity), free of pesticides, solvents, heavy metals and environmental contaminants (such as mycotoxins).
