The hawthorn is a type of shrub or tree with thorny branches that can reach up to ten metres in height. Its leaves are green and shiny. The flowers are white or slightly pinkish and are grouped on the same plane. The fruit of the hawthorn is called hawthorn. It is bright red in colour and its flesh is yellow. Passionflower has medicinal properties that were once well known to the Aztecs. The Aztecs used it for its soothing effects or to treat sleep disorders.
