Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), also known as timnodonic acid, was first isolated from tuna. It is a polyunsaturated fatty acid of the omega-3 family. EPA* is a precursor of prostaglandin-3, which has a positive effect on inflammation and platelet aggregation. EPA* and DHA** are produced by the body from alpha-linolenic acid or ALA (contained in certain vegetable oils: mainly flax, rapeseed, walnut, soya); however, this conversion is low. It decreases with age and according to certain factors such as stress, tobacco, alcohol... In fact, the consumption of EPA* and DHA** is recommended. Since 2010, the ANSES (National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety) has recommended an EPA* and DHA** intake of 500 mg per day for an adult. EPA* and DHA** are found in fatty fish and fish oil. They are also found in human breast milk.

Using advice

1 to 3 capsules per day, in the evening during dinner, for a minimum of 1 month. To be renewed if necessary.
