During an ENT infection, viruses and bacteria cling to the mucous membranes of the nose, throat, pharynx, larynx and so on. Manuka honey is produced from the nectar of the flowers of the Manuka tree (Leptospermum scoparium) in New Zealand. It has been used for centuries by the Maoris for its many benefits. Manuka honey contains polyphenols and flavonoids, but what makes it special is the presence of a unique compound called MethylGlyOxal (MGO). A unique marker guaranteeing the authenticity and efficacy potential of honey, MGO is measured in mg/kg: Manuka honey MGO 100+ has a guaranteed content of 100 mg of MGO per kilogram of honey. Discovered in 2006 by Professor Thomas Henle of the University of Desle, he demonstrated the antibacterial potential of MGO, which is why it is used today in a number of areas, including the fight against bacterial infections. It is also used in cosmetics as a healing agent and to promote oral comfort.

Using advice
