Fisetin and quercetin, two flavonoids against cell senescence
Telomere shortening, DNA degradation, mitochondrial dysfunction and exposure to various epigenetic factors (pollution, stress, sedentary lifestyle, diet, etc.) are all profound biological changes that induce and accelerate cell ageing. This is known as cellular senescence. These so-called senescent cells will gradually accumulate in the body throughout life.
